Laura Hamilton is a Nickelodeon kids TV presenter. Her main duty is presenting Wake up World on Nick Jr. every morning from 07:00 - 09:00. Laura grew up in Dartford, Kent and now lives in Surrey with her husband Alex Goward, they got married on 22 September 2012.
In 2011 she took part in Dancing on Ice, she shouldn’t be too worried about the early morning training sessions, although she may find working with professional dancing partner Colin Ratushni more challenging than children. She eventually finished in second place.
Laura has not always appeared in front of the camera, she worked behind the scenes on shows including Top of the Pops, The Buckingham Palace Jubilee Celebrations, The Games, T4, Party in the Park, Robbie Williams at Knebworth and Big Brother, she even worked on Harry Potter.
Her first big break was as ‘Melody’ in the popular pre-school show Fun Song Factory, filming 52 episodes in total resulting in a DVD release, 2 studio albums and a UK tour supporting Lemar and Brian McFadden.
But being a TV presenter isn’t all early starts and Cheshire cat smiles, Laura has interviewed some of heatworld’s fave celebs including Gwen Stefani, Maroon 5, Miley Cyrus, Hilary Duff and Hayden Panettiere. Laura has also co-hosted with the likes of McFly and Dannii Minogue.
As well as her TV and film work, Laura also does a great deal of charity work and is a patron for the charities Wellchild and REACH.
Laura has already had one accident on the ice, cutting a chunk out of her leg in rehearsals......ouch!
She's also presented A Place in the Sun (since 2012) and new show Beat My Build (2013) for Channel 4. She also did Fort Boyard: Ultimate Challenge for ITV
