Sparks fly between Tumble contestant Lucy Mecklenburgh and show judge Louis Smith

Reality television seems to cast a magical spell over its contestants – they either fight like cat and dog or they fall head over heels in love with one another.

And it seems former The Only Way Is Essex star Lucy Mecklenburgh, who is currently competing on gymnastics show* Tumble*, has a soft spot for show judge Louis Smith.

Tweeting ahead of her 23rd birthday this weekend, Lucy, who was once engaged to fellow TOWIE star Mario Falcone, hinted she was on the hunt for a bloke, writing:

“I really don’t know what I want for my birthday!? Hmm, how about ‘The Perfect Man’.”

Could that perfect man be Olympic medallist Louis, Lucy? Could it? COULD IT?

Well, yes, maybe – a Tumble source told the Sunday Mirror: “Lucy and Louis have been getting on very well. There’s clearly a spark there.”

And a friend of Louis added: “Louis fancied Lucy before the shows started. None of us are at all surprised.”
