The Brit Awards is a wonderful affair – stars get all dolled up in freebies and neck loads of drink whilst having a right old laugh.

And the event is being shaken up a bit in 2015 after James Corden retired as the host, having fronted the bash for the last four years.

But don’t worry if you thought the new presenters were going to get right on your tits because they are the lovely Ant and Dec.

The pair, whose 1994 single Let’s Get Ready To Rhumble went to the top of the charts when it was re-released in 2013, said: “We’re really excited to be hosting the BRITs again next year, it is undoubtedly the biggest night in the British music calendar.

“We’re especially excited now we’re No.1 recording artists ourselves. We’ll be offering our advice to the fledgling pop stars backstage as to how to have a No.1 hit as long as they’re prepared to wait 19 years for their records to top the charts like ours did!”

And it’s not just the Geordie duo who are squealing with excitement about their return to the BRITs having previously hosted in 2001 - Chairman Max Lousada is delighted to welcome them back.

She said: “Ant and Dec are two of the most popular TV broadcasters this country has ever produced and it’s a real honour to have them take centre stage once again to host the BRITs.

“It’s great that these two pillars of British TV will be part of a night about celebrating music.”

Congrats, you lovely little Geordies!
