Simon Cowell got the ball rolling with the green jokes, dubbing Cheryl as ‘Kermit’ for the entire 2-and-a-half hour live show.
Louis also joined in with the Kermit jokes, causing Cheryl to suddenly recognise Kermit’s plight and appreciate the song ‘It’s Not Easy Being Green’.
She hit back at cheeky Simon, saying that she’s ‘not the only muppet on the panel’.
Luckily, she saw the funny side and poked fun at herself, sharing an Instagram snap of ‘herself’ on the judging panel (as Kermit the frog), captioning it with: "And here I am on the panel last night".
She feistily continued: "This one is especially for those who have no opinion of their own until Simon tells them what they should think #sheep #kermit."

Kermit has yet to comment on the matter.
In fact, his Twitter has remained eerily silent…
