More fuel to add to the raging inferno of speculation that surrounds Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin’s consciously uncoupled relationship – they both shared the stage at last night’s amfAR Inspiration Gala in Los Angeles - and she gushed about him winning 'Father of the Year'!
Gwyn was there to host the star-studded event, which works to raise funds for Aids research, and Chris showed up to perform some of his Coldplay hits.
She introduced her not-so-estanged husband thusly:
"This brilliant singer-songwriter has sold 8 million records. He has won every single award that there is to be won, especially Father of the Year, which he has won consecutively since 2004. I am speaking of Chris Martin, and the incredibly talented Jonny Buckland, who together make up one-half of the legendary band Coldplay."
N'aww.Guests at the evening do were of a strictly celebrity status – tables at the event went for $15,000 for a ‘Benefactor’ all the way up to $200,000 for a ‘Grand Philanthropist’. Sounds swanky.
As heat reported this week, Gwyneth has made no secret of the fact she still carries a flame for her estranged husband – last Tuesday she was spotted stroking his face outside a restaurant, even though a crowd of paps were nearby.
A source told us that Gwyneth was waiting until Chris’ fling with Jennifer Lawrence came to an end – which it did, this week – before making her move on him again.
“Everyone thinks she misses Chris because she’s been asking to spend more time with him than she did when they were married. But Gwyneth’s smart enough to know that the only way to get him back would be to let him date Jen with no guilt and just act like the coolest wife ever,” our insider added.
So with J-Law now off the scene, will Gwyneth and Chris soon be announcing their unconscious recoupling? Yeah. Yeah, we reckon so.
