Katy Perry’s boyfriend is reportedly expecting a new baby, with his ex-girlfriend.
Yep, the Major Lazer DJ is believed to have got his former lover Kathryn Lockhart pregnant before he started dating Katy this April.
Hardly dispelling the rumours, Diplo - whose real name is Wesley Pentz - recently changed his Twitter name to “Baby Daddy”. Cryptic.
He already has a four-year-old son with Lockhart, who’s called Lockett. We really hope he got to keep his mother’s surname to go with it.
A source told the New York Daily News newspaper's Confidenti@l column: "She's due in the next couple of weeks. Her friends recently had a baby shower for her. She and Wes aren't together, but he's actively involved in (Lockett's) life."
Only a few weeks ago, Katy announced that she was feeling “in control” of her relationship with Diplo and wanted to keep their romance “undercover”.
Still, it hasn’t been without its share of rockiness. The couple reportedly broke up in May because Katy thought the DJ was getting too serious too quickly. We can imagine - if his Twitter name-change is anything to go by, he doesn't take commitments lightly.
But then last month Katy was spotted partying in Sin City while he performed.
Whatever the state of their affair, we hope the news wasn’t too much of a shock for the Roar singer.
Then again, she has formerly been married to Russell Brand and dated the rakish John Mayer, so little things like a child with another woman are unlikely to faze her.
