The actor was pulled over by police in Boise, Idaho, on Friday night.
According to an arrest report issued by the ADA County Sheriff’s Office, he was charged with malicious injury to property and resisting or obstructing police officers.
Brendon was visiting Boise to attend Tree City Comic Con, and his arrest comes just weeks after he married girlfriend Moonda Tee.
In 2004, the 43-year-old checked into rehab for alcoholism.
He told fans at the time: "After realising that I had a disease that was taking control of my life, I decided that the best way for me to regain my health was to enter a treatment facility," he said at the time.”
The former Buffy star is now writing his own comic about his beloved character, Xander.
In the new stories, Xander has become a leader of a global army of vampire slayers.
