Peter Andre is in the middle of his latest UK tour – he’s just filmed another series of 60 Minute Makeovers and has just launched a new fragrance.

But Pete is also juggling being a dad, and yep he’s now the reason why we should love frozen food, fronting the latest ad campaign for Iceland.

Gosh, he’s leading a busy lifestyle, but we managed to pin him down at Soho’s Chotto Matte for 10 minutes for a quick Q&A:

Tell us about the new fragrance…

Pete says: “It’s actually a really beautiful smell. It’s got a little bit of a sting, it’s seductive, that’s the devilish bit. We’ve called it Scarlett – I just thought of it because of Scarlett Johansen in Avengers, she’s like the black widow spider and I wanted something powerful like that, the red, the fire, the power, the modern woman is very strong.”

What fragrance do you like on a woman?

“I like fresh but I do like it seductive, but it depends on what you’re wearing. If I’m going to wear a suit I put on something like Chanel Blue or the new Armani, I love it. But if I’m wearing trackies more casual I wear Polo Sport. I choose fragrances on what I’m wearing, I’m not vain, I don’t use certain moisturisers but I’m particular with my scents.”

Have there been any scents that ex-girlfriends have worn that you couldn’t stand the smell of?

“No I think they all work in some way but not every fragrance suits your skin, for example if I wear Jean Paul Gaultier it doesn’t suit me at all but I knew someone that wore it and it smelt fantastic on them and I was gutted that it wouldn’t smell like that on me.”

One of your Insania perfumes has your torso on the packaging… are your kids embarrassed when you take your top off?

“I don’t walk around like that. It’s funny because even on tour, the only time I do it is on calendars because that’s what it’s for. So once a year I get in tip-top shape. I lost three kilos doing this tour so far and we’re only five days in and it’s 20 days, so I won’t go too far.”

What’s your secret to the weight-loss?

“I think because there’s so much energy on stage, and I don’t diet, I don’t like dieting but what I used to do is eat nice carbs at night, nice pastas, because it’s too heavy for stage I eat early in the day and then just before stage I’ll have fresh juice and a coffee, so I eat most of my food now early in the day so not eating much at night and exercise on stage, I lose weight. I’ve got my Protein World that I use for my shakes but that’s still again in the day, I don’t get that at night, it’s because of the stage, not because I’m trying to diet.”

How’s the tour going?

“The reviews are amazing, we’ve had sell-out crowds which fascinates me after all these years. And we’ve got a 10-piece jazz/blues band and they’re rocking."

Is it right that Emily is coming with you on tour?

“Do you know how ridiculous that is, it’s because she is working in the hospital, she’s not at a uni. It’s impossible, we can’t have a private tutor on the road because she’s working in the hospital. I just think people make up some stuff, but I’m also not one to go on Twitter and say this isn’t true, I’m not like that.”

Have you got any more plans to do any more reality TV shows?

“I always wanted to get to 10, we had incredible ratings at the end and I always said leave on a high because if you don’t leave on a high, eventually it’s going to drop. Plus I said if I ever made it to 10 I was going to take a break, we’re not never going to do it again but I’m not there yet because I’ve got 60 Minute Makeovers coming out very soon which I’ve just filmed. And I’m working on a prime-time night-time show for one of the big channels. It will be my own show next year. We don’t know yet [if it’s going to be a chat show] but it’s going to be entertainment and fun.”

Is your house move on hold?

“Emily doesn’t want to move and I did, so I think we’re just staying put for a little bit but eventually we will move and what I want to do is upgrade to a bit more land, that’s all, I love our house, I just wish I could move it to more land.”

Do you have plans to build an extension instead?

“No I don’t think I should because then you never stop if you start.”

Tell us something funny about the kids…

“Bista [Pete’s daughter Princess] came up to me the other day and said to me, ‘Do you know what….? I’ve decided that when I’m older, I want to become a fireman.' I said ‘A fireman? Don’t you mean a firewoman?’ and she says ‘You trying to be funny?’ and I went ‘No’, and she went ‘Hmmm fine then, actually I want to become a policeman and arrest you.' She is so cute, they just come up with all sorts of things and every week they change their mind.”

Does she like her name?

“That was completely taken out of context, I’ve called her Bista since she was 2 year’s old because Junior couldn’t call her sister so he used to call her Bista so any time I call her anything except Bista, she’s like ‘er…Bista thank you very much’, so I was just saying, you know, ‘why do you call her Bista?…I said ‘because she doesn’t like me calling her princess’ but I never said she hates her name she just doesn’t like me calling her name.”

Has Junior had his school photos?

“Yeah and they look so much older… Junior is like ‘Buy them all’. Actually to be fair it’s me that likes to buy them all because I want to send them to my mum – my mum wants all the pictures.”

Do you and Emily get much chance for date nights?

“It’s a little bit difficult at the moment because we’ve got the tour and she’s got her final part of her degree and we’ve got the baby and I’ve got the other kids as well so I’ve got to go between two homes. I’ve got Junior and Bista half the time so when I’ve got them I go home after the shows so I’m there the next mornings and school runs and football, when I haven’t got them I go straight to Taunton [where Emily’s parents live] which is a long way. I want to be there and I want them to see me in the mornings every morning.”

Does Junior ask you to stay in the car when you do the school run?

“No, well, he’s quite independent but he’s very much like ‘Dad I’m cool, I can do this Dad.’”
