While The X Factor contestants anxiously awaited their fate, rock legends Queen performed on the show with Adam Lambert.

Replacing Freddie Mercury, Adam provided quite a flawless set of vocals.

The superstars showed their faces to celebrate the announcement of three more dates on their European tour.

In what is certain to be among next year’s most sought out music events, Queen and Adam will reign over a six-week long set of dates across Europe beginning mid January.

Tonight former contestants Union J and Ella Henderson also returned to the X Factor stage.

Boyband, Union J.

Ella Henderson spoke of being back, “It’s like returning to school. But honestly it feels good to be back.”

Remember her exit from The X Factor back in 2012 way before the final? She found herself in the bottom two with eventual winner James Arthur.

Ella pinned contestant Ben Haenow as a potential X Factor winner 2014. We bet that has nothing to do with Ben being mentored by your boss, Simon Cowell, does it Ella?

Union J’s George Shelley said he’s also backing Ben and Fleur East to win.
