I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! in crisis as three rumoured stars pull out days before launch

Some stars don't want to eat bugs for our entertainment. Err... what?!

Munching on kangaroo testicles and sleeping outside in the rain while spiders crawl across your sleeping bag doesn’t really sound that appealing.

But apparently some famous types don’t mind it too much when they’re paid thousands for their troubles.

However, a big fat pay packet is simply not enough for some of the stars who were apparently lined up to take part in I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! – three members of the rumoured line-up have dropped out just days before the start of the show.

Actress Teri Hatcher, controversial NHS boob job scrounger Josie Cunningham and former television cook Rustie Lee are all said to have changed their minds, with Josie unable to travel abroad because she didn’t get her passport in time.

An insider told The Sun on Sunday: “She has never had a passport before and she had no idea it took so long to get one.

“She thought they could be done just one or two days in advance. Josie saw I’m A Celebrity as the chance of a lifetime, but now there’s absolutely no chance she’ll be able to get on it.

“ITV really aren’t best pleased with her at the moment. ITV bosses are adamant that there is no way she will be appearing in the jungle this year, whether her passport turns up or not.”

Oops!

Teri has turned down a jungle jaunt for unknown reasons and Rustie has had to pull out due to medical issues.

And programme bosses are now rushing to get replacements for the series which starts next Sunday.

The source said: “The casting directors at ITV work very hard to get the mix of jungle celebs right, and so this is very disappointing when people drop out. And it means that despite months of planning, they have to rush to draft in replacement celebs and fly them to Australia in time for the show launch.

“It can be a mad scramble, as tickets need to be rebooked for both the celebs and the families who fly out to support them while they are in the jungle.

“And it is definitely a headache the show team can do without.”

Oh dear...
