Team GB Paralympic athlete Gemma Collis was bombarded with abusive tweets this week aimed at I’m A Celebrity’s Gemma Collins.
Gemma, 20, a wheelchair fencer, was labelled a “whale” and a “fat slut” and told to lose weight in the jungle.
The Durham University law student tried to deflect the criticism she recieved:
But trolls posted her abuse just minutes into the first episode of the show, which sees Gemma break down in tears and have a panic attack in a stationery helicopter. One user tweeted:
Others called labelled her a "fat b*tch" and crowed "you need a diet, cuz".
Gemma was one of the celebrities chosen to spend a few days in the jungle jail, and from fretting that her yellow poo was a sign of malaria to dealing badly with the presence of porridge, has not been having a good week.
But Gemma COLLIS pointed out that neither she nor poor Gemma should be subjected to online abuse:
