MAHOOSIVE whoop for Ben Haenow! He’s only gone and won The X Factor.

The signer was crowned the champion of the competition at London’s Wembley Arena on Sunday night with Fleur East coming in second place.

Ben looked shocked as the result was announced before his body practically burst with joy.

He said: “Thank you so much for making my dreams come true!”

His mentor Simon Cowell said: “I could not be happier, Ben. For you, you’re a great guy, this is your moment. You’re a great guy. You deserve this.”

Ben then went on to perform the winner’s single, Something I Need, by One Republic.

Fleur looked delighted for Ben and congratulated him on his triumph.

She said: “I’m so grateful. I’m so grateful. Well done Ben. This is unbelievable!”

The finalists of the competition joined the stage to sing with the champ and he dropped to the floor amongst them after his final performance.

Earlier in the competition Ben was given glowing compliments from the judges after performing Michael Jackson's Man In The Mirror.

Mel B said: "I started off in the competition not really caring about you but you grew and became you artist you are... A job bloody well done."

Cheryl added: "I actually wouldn’t change a thing about you right now. I applaud you for your courage to follow your dream and I hope tonight it’s an opportunity for you to achieve it.

And Simon said: "Wow, wow, wow, wow, wow. Ben, the first time you sang that song, I said on the night, this is the night we can see you turning into a star. You just came back in to Wembley Arena and you just killed that song.

"I know I’m being wound up for time but I could not be happier for you, I could not be more proud of you. You deserve to be here."

Congrats, Ben!
