But the sisters have no remorse and exclusively told* heat*, they wanted to go even further but decided to against it because they didn’t want to steal Ben Haenow and Fleur East’s thunder.

“The kiss was a statement of our love for each other,” Jazzy told* heat*. “We wanted it to be shocking so people would recognise it and talk about it because at the end of the day, the world needs love. There is so much hate in this world, we wanted to show love for one another.

“We think it’s hilarious that one kiss can cause so much controversy. There’s nothing wrong with it. We even got incest to trend!”

Ruby added: “The funny thing is, with the kiss on stage, we were planning to go much edgier. We only got to do half of what we wanted to do.

“On week one, on the first live show when we performed Kids In America, we had a set up where we were going to make out with two conjoined twins during the breakdown part,” Jazzy explained.

“It was written in as part of the show and then three hours before our show, it was pulled. Louis saw the rehearsal and then they said no – they wanted us to do well on the show and stay on longer and thought that by pulling it they would win us more votes…”
