Every Friday night our lives are brightened up by the Gogglebox folk – who would have thought that watching people watch television on the television would be so hilarious?
But one of our favourite families has been given the axe from the series for their plans outside the show.
The Michaels – dad Andrew, mum Carolyne and kids Louis and Alex – will no longer appear because Andrew is running as a candidate for political party UKIP in the upcoming general election.
A spokesperson for Channel 4 told The Sun: “Sadly any cast member becoming a party candidate will have to step down from involvement in Gogglebox.
“The Michaels have been excellent contributors and we are very grateful.”
Well, this is a shame. What will we do without long-haired Louis screaming and shouting “sass” at the TV while his mum Carolyne gets confused over what she’s seeing and blurts out intelligent words in equal measure?
The Googlebox guys seem to be dropping like flies lately after George Gilby and his family left the show when George decided to appear on *Celebrity Big Brother *earlier this year.
Sigh...
