Tara Palmer Tomkinson was arrested at Heathrow airport after tearing out her hair and flying into a rage. Excuse the pun.
The former* I’m A Celebrity* star and model - whose arrest was captured on film - tore out her hair extensions, as she argued with officers before being handcuffed and led off.
TPT, who has now been cautioned and released without charge, was due to jet off to Switzerland for a swanky trip to celebrate her birthday at the ski resort of Klosters.
Tara later told The Sun: “I wasn’t drunk, there was no disorderly. I was cautioned, I saw a doctor, they were nice to me.” She added that a panic attack had caused her behaviour.
There have been some reports that the dispute started after Tara was denied access to the first-class lounge at the airport, but she has since denied these claims on Twitter.
A Met Police spokesman said: “Police at Heathrow Terminal 5 were made aware of disturbance in the forecourt of the building at approximately 15.20hrs on Saturday, 20 December.
“Officers arrived at the scene and arrested a 42-year-old woman. “She was taken to a west London police station and subsequently accepted a caution under Section 5 of the Public Order Act 1986.”
Oh well, at least it’s all over now, eh Tara? We’re sure you’ll still have a lovely birthday and Chrimbo all the same. Plus, now everyone will know what to get you… more hair extensions.
