She’s always deeply funny and likeable on any TV comedy panel show you care to mention and this year she also hosted the Bake Off: Another Slice spin-off show in fine style.
Fact file: Jo was a psychiatric nurse for 10 years, and has written three novels and two volumes of autobiography.
Greg Davies
He’s an accomplished stand-up comedian as well as playing the horrible Mr. Gilbert in The Inbetweeners and Ken Thompson in BBC3 sitcom, Cuckoo, He also created his own Channel 4 comedy Man Down.
Fact file: The man-mountain is 6 ft 8 and has size 13 shoes.
Lee Mack
He’s relentlessly brilliant on comedy panel show Would I Lie To You, has a great stand-up DVD out and his sitcom Not Going Out is in its seventh series.
Fact file: He once shared a flat with comedy dude Noel Fielding and says he has attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.
David Mitchell
He’s the amazingly quick-witted posh foil to Lee Mack’s working-class persona on Would I Lie To You, and he had his own panel show Was It Something I Said, which was quite good.
Fact file: He only owns two CDs, Phil Collins's ...But Seriously and Susan Boyle's debut album, but doesn’t like either.
Graham Norton
His chat show is getting even better and is now an unmissable part of the TV week, and his Radio 2 Saturday morning show is very good, too.
Fact file: He loves his dogs and has two – a labradoodle called Bailey and Madge, who he adopted from the Dogs Trust charity.
Jack Whitehall
He’s been as busy as ever with a dazzlingly funny final series of Bad Education, his chat show with his dad Backchat, his regular slot on Sky1’s A League Of Their Own more Fresh Meat soon!
Fact file: He’s an accomplished artist and was once commissioned to draw Gyles Brandreth’s cat.
