Alexander O’Neal quit the* Celebrity Big Brother* house because “the stress became unbearable” and sited the ‘Perez problem’.
Speaking to Emma Willis on Celebrity Big Brother's Bit On The Side, Alexander said: "I did it for myself and for my housemates."
He also explained that the 'Perez problem' wasn't going to go away: "Perez is gonna be Perez and do what he gonna do" adding that you need to "keep your guard up".
Alexander also said that he has a great amount of respect for Katie Hopkins, which is not a sentence we thought we’d ever hear anyone say, let alone have to write.
Alex dubbed Katie "a very kind woman" and "a lovely lady". Explaining that her "defences had been lowered" during the show.
However Alexander stressed that he did have good times in the house and felt that meeting new people was rewarding. Although, he’d only recommend doing the show to his worst enemies.
"I'm grateful to Big Brother for giving me the opportunity to be part of something like this."
When quizzed about his attitudes toward the women in the house, he said: "I don't stereotype women, I take people on a one-to-one basis."
Finally he explained that he wanted Calum Best to win the competition.
