Danny Dyer won a National Television Award last night for being quite simply FANTASTIC as Mick Carter on EastEnders (technical name: Serial Drama Performance).

And he spoke of his long-term girlfriend Joanne Mas in his acceptance speech – despite recent rumours that they’re on the rocks.

“I wanna thank my old woman, that raving little sort over there, because if I don’t she’ll club me later,” Danny said.

“I love her to death.”

The camera then showed a beaming Joanne.

Joanne also posed backstage for a photo with Danny and his on-screen wife Kellie Bright. What split rumours, eh?

The couple were recently reported to be having problems by* The Sun On Sunday*, who ran a story that said that Danny was living in a hotel, rather than the family home.

An insider told the paper: “It's a mystery why he'd spend the first two weeks of 2015 in a hotel.”

“It is a bit strange that he would choose a hotel over his own house with the missus and kids. It's more like an EastEnders storyline than real life.”

Danny is currently working extremely long hours in preparation for the EXTRAVAGANZA that will be EastEnders’ 30th anniversary next month, and the paper reports he chose a hotel closer to work for this reason.

Danny tweeted (in true Danny style) that the reports were “bollocks”.

Well, Danny’s gushing speech certainly puts that story to bed. As Mick Carter would say, leave it ‘aht, yeah?
