Geordie Shore’s Marnie Simpson loses over a stone in a MONTH following Twitter trolls’ criticism

Geordie Shore’s Marnie Simpson has lost over a stone in just a month after being branded a “fat lass” by mean old Twitter trolls.

The reality star slimmed down by 17lbs after going on a massive fitness kick soon after one viewer told her that she used to be the skinniest girl on Geordie Shore, “and now you’re the fattest”. Sheesh.

She said: “A lot of people started to pick up on my weight on Twitter and say some really hurtful comments.

“One said, ‘Your face is huge’ because when I do pile on the pounds it always shows up really quickly on my face in the shape of a double chin.

“There were also lots of comments about being be the ‘fat one’ in the show and the ‘fat lass’. I’d be lying if I said those comments didn’t really hurt - you try to ignore them but it is impossible.”

Marnie went on to say the filming of Geordie Shore season 9 made the whole cast gain weight – especially as they’d be boozing till the early hours then soaking up all their shots with kebabs.

“We were boozing virtually every night and that is never good for your figure. They have a ‘goodie drawer’ packed with fattening snacks like strawberry laces and Haribos, which we’re always raiding to keep our energy levels up while filming into the early hours,” she added.

Then, when co-stars Charlotte Crosby and Holly Hagan decided to give up their bad habits, Marnie joined them – and between the three of them, they lost almost SIX STONE. Insane.

Marnie, who had a £4,000 boob job done last year to even up her boobs, said the upcoming tenth series of the MTV show – which is due to start in March – will be pretty explosive as she’s bringing in her new boyfriend, Dan Slone. We cannot WAIT to see what Gary Beadle makes of him…
