Katie Price and Katie Hopkins locked in the same house, while tormented by Big Brother seems like a recipe for rows. But the pair have actually been getting along quite well… until now.
The pair clashed during a discussions about the care for Katie Price’s disabled son, Harvey. Katie was complaining about the expense of getting cars from her house in Sussex to central London.
Well, you might be able to save a few bob, if, y’know, you drove yourself Katie? Just an idea.
Anyway, she went on to explain that her son Harvey - who has a few disabilities such as blindness, autism, ADHD and Prader-Willi syndrome - has a government-funded car:
“He [Harvey] has a driver who takes him to school each day. He travels with a special nurse who looks after him and the driver is mindful of the situation - it's tax-payer funded, which is good.”
Katie then questioned, erm, Katie (Jordan), about why she couldn’t pay for the transport with her own fortune - which is estimated to be £40 million.
“Do you know how f***ing expensive that would be… it would be up to a grand a day.
“Besides, I pay my taxes, so if the government can help, then great.”
But Hopkins still wasn’t convinced, she argued: “With the amount you earn I find that tricky, when you could afford it yourself.
“Look, don't get me wrong, but I believe that if you can afford something then you shouldn't allow the government to pick up the tab.”
Katie Price added: “But I don't earn a set amount each year, it changes all the time, so I never know how much I'm going to get.
“If the government offer to help, I'll take it.”
The pair then walked away from each other and Katie Price later revealed the argument didn’t sit right with her.
“That was about my kids so it was a little bit close” she also argued that she didn’t feel she had to have this argument with Katie, adding Hopkins is “not a politician” and that she would rather “have this conversation with a politician”.
