After his phenomenal success with One Direction and making oodles of pounds, Simon Cowell is trying to do it all again…by launching a talent contest for a Latino boyband.
The search will be televised – in a deal between Simon’s SYCO Entertainment and Spanish firm Univision – and is set to be aired in the US in September.
Simon’s clearly excited about his new venture, tweeting both in Spanish and English (well done, Simon) and wrote earlier: “Auditions now open to be part of the ultimate Latino boyband. If you know someone who could be a star? Go here http://labandaoficial.com”.

He added: “The show airs on Univision this September. This show could give someone the chance of a lifetime. And you know, dreams really can come true!”
To enter the competition you have to be over 14 years old and live in either the US or Puerto Rico.
The band – who could audition together or separately – will land a recording contract with Syco Music and Sony Music Latin.
Could they ever be as big as One Direction though? We're sure as hell Simon will try...
