We love that Zooey Deschanel is pregnant – and newly engaged – but even cuter is the story of how the actress’s fiancé Jacob Pechenik proposed to her.
A source has revealed to the US edition of OK! that Jacob actually proposed to Zooey the day after she took a pregnancy test – which proved to be positive.
“The day after Zooey revealed she was pregnant Jacob told her he wanted to marry her,” the insider says.
“It's been a whirlwind romance, but they're totally on the same page about their future.
“They're madly in love. She can't wait to start their next chapter.''

Meanwhile, fans have been pondering whether Zooey’s pregnancy will be written into New Girl. Because it WOULD be weird if Zooey started only appearing in scenes with a strategically placed cushion or shopping bag.
We reckon a pregnant Jess would be quite epic, but Zooey’s co-star, Jake Johnson isn’t so sure.
He told E! news: “No, Jess is not going to have a baby. It’d be a weird Three Men and a Baby vibe… just imagine how weird Winston would be around that baby!”
