It seems after spending some time locked in the Celebrity Big Brother house with Katie Hopkins, Keith Chegwin has gained a vague idea of what it is like to live with her.
Keith, who came fourth in the Channel 5 show, doesn't know how Katie Hopkins' husband copes with her behaviour. Ouch.
Speaking on the subject Keith said: "When you look at Katie Hopkins, oh my God. I don't know how her husband copes with that. Good luck to him, he must be a strong lad.
"Alicia, I don't want to be rude to her, but she's not a full set sometimes, she's not a full deck. But she's the kindest, nicest person and mother that you could want.
"So to kick somebody like that is just one of the cruellest things I've ever seen and that's when I went off Katie Hopkins.
"I sort of thought, 'Hang on a minute – have a go at Keith Chegwin, have a go at Calum, have a go at the tougher people in the house'.
"But when you start picking on somebody that's gentle and kind but their lack of vocabulary and her job and her career and all that sort of thing, I just thought, 'No'."
Before CBB finished (In Tuesday's episode last week) Katie and Keith were really starting to grate on one another. After Cami-Li got voted out, Katie asked Keith whether he voted for the model to leave, Keith told Katie he did and for “valid reasons”.
Katie seemed to take a complete dislike to this (like most other things) and quiped back: “I’m not asking about your reasons, I’m asking if you nominated her. Don’t lecture us on morality, ‘oh isn’t it sad Cami-Li left’, when you’re the one that nominated her. You’re trying to own the moment of being sad. We’re all sad.”
Her outburst didn't sit well with Keith who retorted with: “Don’t fu*king turn round and tell me what to do!”
