Charlotte Crosby is NOT engaged: “I could KILL Mitch – believe me, he’ll be punished for this”

Last night everyone got very excited when Charlotte Crosby off Geordie Shore announced she was engaged over Twitter and Instagram – but while thousands of fans started breathlessly congratulating her, Char was probably doing a public wee of rage.

Because her boyfriend Mitch Jenkins had stolen her phone and was busy pranking THE WORLD.

Charlotte's PR confirmed the truth behind the engagement story this morning, after Char herself had tweeted to try and stop the endless stream of best wishes.

Her BFF, ex-Geordie Shore lass Sophie Kasaei, had already worked out that Charlotte wouldn't have got engaged without telling her, so used some good old-fashioned detecting to get to the bottom of it all.

In replies to congratulatory messages from TOWIE's Sam Faiers and Australian radio DJs Kyle and Jackie O, Charlotte said, "I could kill him ive woken up to the world thinking I'm engaged" and "ohhhhh nooooo please how can I go back in time and undo this".

But in response to her Newcastle housemate James Tindale pointing out that Mitch "must be thinking it to tweet it", Charlotte said: "Hahahahahaha LOVE THIS JAMES! this is what his drunk heart wants." She added:

So there you have it: Charlotte and Mitch are NOT engaged. But we won't be adding her on Snapchat yet just in case Mitch has somehow rigged it to send out naked Charlotte snaps every six seconds. We wouldn't put it past him.
