David Walliams is so heartbroken over his split from his model wife Lara Stone he reportedly banned questions about her during a television appearance this week.

The comedian was in London to film an episode of The Graham Norton Show and apparently refused to discuss the breakdown of his marriage.

The funnyman is said to have seemed solemn backstage but perked up during his interview in front of the studio audience.

A source told the Daily Mirror: “He is trying to continue laughing and joking but on the inside he is very emotional. He really doesn’t want a broken marriage and would love to get back together.”

As Lara moved out of the family home, David threw himself into work yesterday as he embarked on a tour of schools for World Book Day.

David is said to be hoping he will get another chance to win Lara back and is still determined to make the relationship work.

The source said: “David has not given up on this relationship, he and Lara have a child together so his priority is to try to keep some kind of family unit.

“Until a few weeks ago they were still walking around West London hand-in-hand so he hopes some of the damage can be repaired.”
