For those who aren’t familiar with Mulan – shame on you – it’s an animated Disney action-comedy drama about the Chinese legend of Hua Mulan, the female warrior and main character of the 1998 original.

NOW, Disney have announced, through Hollywood Reporter, that Chris Bender and J.C. Spink, who produced We’re The Millers – you know the one with Jennifer Aniston and Wil Poulter - are producing the new project.

The original film followed the young woman Hua, with her badass sidekick Mushu, become a skilled warrior, disguise herself as a man and become one of her country’s greatest heroines.
