Emma Watson's date became "tetchy" and things got "really awkward" when she offered to pay for their meal. What the heck, guy? This is 2015?! Let the lady pay if she wants.

We'd be happy for Emma Watson to pay for our dinner, heck, we'd be happy for anyone to pay for our dinner, men, women, children using their pocket money, animals foraging woodland nuts and winter berries, come at us, give us dinner, we will take it.

Speaking at Facebook's London offices, Emma explained that she had taken her fancy man - who she didn't want to name - to her favourite restaurant and wanted to cover the bill.

"The cool thing was that we were both willing to have the conversation about why it was awkward, or why it was uncomfortable. We were able to have this dialogue. "I chose the restaurant because it's my favourite restaurant. I would love to pay, but next time, you choose the place and you pay, or whatever it is."

She continued: "Isn't that just a nice thing to do for something else? I love having the door opened for me. I love being taken to dinner, it's so great. I think the key is: would you then mind if I opened the door for you?"

Emma also addressed the internet bullies who threatened to release naked pictures of her last year, after she spoke at a UN conference on women's rights.

Although she knew it was a hoax, because such pictures didn't exist, she said: "I was just raging. It made me so angry, this is why I have to be doing this. If anything, if they were trying to put me off, it was the opposite."
