Kanye, 37, thinks VERY, very highly of himself. But you all knew that. He told a packed lecture theatre of Oxford University students that had he pursued a career in fine art, he would have liked to “become Picasso or greater”.

The US rapper, who spoke for around half an hour to 350 Oxford University Museum of Natural History students, earlier today, received a standing ovation upon his entrance. Along his half the themes of “aesthetic” and “progression” which he said he picked out from the first question.

According the student newspaper The Tab, Kanye said: "People say I've got a bad reputation. I think I've got the best reputation in the building."

The student newspaper reported that Yeezy said: "My goal, if I was going to do art, fine art, would have been to become Picasso or greater.”

"That always sounds so funny to people, comparing yourself to someone who has done so much, and that's a mentality that suppresses humanity."

Kanye even joked about his tight friendship with President Obama: "Obama calls the home phone, Addressing the issue of inequality.

"We have the resources as a civilisation to make a utopia, but we’re led by the most greedy and the least noble".

He continued to tell the lecture room: "We’ve had Cosby Show, Obama’s president, Beyonce’s great…that’s passed. But you’re still taught the division by class, especially in UK.

"White people that listen to rap say nigger. In the privacy of their own home."

Students were banned from taking any photos of Yeezus - but obvs a couple of snaps slipped through.

The Oxford Guild Society, who organised the event, said that if anyone was seen taking pictures he/she may walk out. But that didn’t stop all the students from taken a snap of Kim Kardashian’s hubby.

Prior to the event Vice President of the Oxford Guild, Delia Lockey, told heat: “We are very excited to be hosting such an inspiring and high profile a speaker as the legendary Kanye West and expect it to be a fascinating and memorable event. It is great to see the hard work pay off after having spent many hours negotiating against the odds and keeping things under wraps to secure this event which is a real coup for the Guild which I am proud to see continuing to grow from strength to strength, reaching even higher heights and winning ever more national awards and accolades.”
