Victoria Beckham refused to kiss David Beckham unless he shaved his beard

David Beckham has admitted that Victoria refused to kiss him unless he shaved beard, which is surprising, as we're sure a lot of you would kiss him if he had a beard, even if it was a beard of stingy bees, rather than Beckham fluff.

The 39-year-old was chatting to James Corden during the Late Late Show and said: "I was in Miami and Victoria actually saw the picture and was like, 'There's no way I'm kissing you unless you shave that off.'

"I left it for a day, and I was was like, 'You know what, I'm going to have to do it.'"

But it seems that Victoria doesn't just have get fella facial fluff under her control, she also ensured David chaperoned Brooklyn Beckham on his first-ever date, 18 months ago.

Brooklyn, 16, was in the audience for the show and turned a very embarassed shade of pink, as his dad recalled how he sat five tables away during Brooko's date at a Kensington Sushi on Valentine's Day in 2013. A sushi restaurant for your first date? Blimey. We just went to Burger King.

David said: "It was when he was about 14 and a half, it was Valentine’s Day, and he was like, 'I would love to take this girl for dinner'.

"I sat about five tables away."

But rest assured, David said he'd be A LOT closer when it's time for Harper's first date: "By the way, my daughter is four years old and when she gets to that age, I will be closer than that."
