Danny O’Donoghue has recently been spotted walking on a tightrope between some very tall buildings. Not to worry, he’s not gone mad - it was all in aid of The Script’s new music video for Man On A Wire.

The single is taken from their fourth studio album, No Sound Without Silence, and the video was inspired by a documentary on French tightrope walker Philippe Petit.

The 34-year-old spoke to the Metro about his experience and said: “I was absolutely bricking it.

“I mean, you’re walking between two buildings. I feared for my life!"

“We were in South Africa because I don’t think you’d get the insurance to do that in the UK."

Danny then revealed his tightrope experience was just “mind over matter."

“The only thing stopped me was my own fear but I thought, ‘just do it’, and I took that leap of faith,” he continued.

Jokingly, The Voice judge added that the band’s next single should be about sitting on ‘a beach in Barbados’. We think that’s wise, Danny.
