We love Charli XCX. Not only is she completely nuts, she’s not afraid to shout about it!
The British singer is the new cover star of the June edition of ASOS magazine, kicking off summer in the most XCX way, wearing a metallic hologram crop top.
The Boom Clap singer-songwriter-all-round-babe, who recently announced she'll be playing Radio 1's Big Weekend in Norwich, looks incredible in the accompanying shoot wearing an array of fabulously sassy outfits.
As well as loads of gorge pics, Charli gave a sasspot interview that has made us LOL. For reals.
When asked to describe her tunes, Charli said…
“It’s like The Ramones and Barbie had sex… its loud, it’s in your face, but it’s like …pink and sassy too. It’s a big middle finger to all the people who thought that I’d get dropped or wasn’t a credible artist”.
Literally spot ON. We don’t think we could’ve described Doing It, Sucker and Break The Rules any other way.
She also spoke about Rita Ora, who she collaborated with on badass single Doing It.
“Rita is so fun and so refreshing to be around… we click so well because we’re both chilled. Rita is the opposite of a diva and I love that about her”.
To be fair, both Rita and Charli seem to be from the planet MAD and so it’s cray that the two haven’t been BFFs since nursery, causing havoc in the sandpit!
If you’re going to see Charli play her UK headline tour, you’re in for a maje treat. She might even pelt you with cash…
“ I’ve just found these toy guns online that shoot money… I’m going to fire money into the audience. I’ve designed these outfits- they’re very Debbie Harry… sequined, ripped-up skirts, leotards and chocker’s. And there’s a Barbarella outfit”.
Erm, AMAZING. Sign us up for all the shows, yeah?
