Harry Potter’s Matthew Lewis does NOT look like Neville Longbottom any more

Forgive us for adding to the virtual column inches about how Matthew Lewis looks nothing like Neville Longbottom then, for Matthew Lewis has posed as cover star for Attitude magazine and just LOOK HOW GROWN UP HE IS NOW.

Speaking to the mag, Matthew talked about his new project (see, he is doing other stuff now) Me Before You (in which he’s starring opposite Game Of Thrones’ Emilia Clarke) and how he’s had to get into shape for it – including giving up the booze.

“It’s tough. I do the pub quiz every week, and sitting there every Wednesday with a Diet Coke. I’m off sugar and I can’t really eat carbs,” he said.

Matthew’s also going to have to wax for the film, which – looking at these pictures – is going to take about five beauticians and an entire tub of wax.

“I think I’ll be losing the leg hair! I haven’t waxed before. I was quite keen just to shave every day but it was Emilia’s idea. She was like, ‘No just wax it, then you’ll only have to do it once!’ I was like, ‘Argh!’ I haven’t done it yet but we’ll see.”

Matthew also talked about his makeover, which included six months of intense dental work to give him that perfect smile.

“Whenever I go back to Leeds or see people I went to school with they always talk about my veneers. I’m like, ‘I haven’t got veneers, these are my actual teeth!’ If I can’t f*cking convince people I went to school with how am I going to convince anyone else?” he said.

“Obviously a lot of attention focused on it, which I didn’t expect at all. I’ve never considered myself to be good-looking at all. Just average.”

Mate, if you can pose casually in just a granddad cardie and some pants, you’re not just average. Trust us.
