The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have left Kensington Palace with four-day-old daughter Princess Charlotte and headed off to Anmer Hall, their countryside pad.

Anmer Hall is in Norfolk and promises to be a nice, quiet place for little Charlotte. None of that traffic and sleeping in a drawer like most kids have to deal with. Ahem.

The new family will spend the first few weeks of the newborn princess’s life in the refurbished Georgian mansion on the Queen’s private Sandringham estate.

Anmer Hall was a gift to the couple from the Queen following their wedding. NICE.

Nice pressie

With Wills set to fly helicopters for the East Anglian Air Ambulance, William and Kate are expected to base themselves at Anmer Hall over the next few years.

The couple are said to have close friends living nearby including Prince George’s godfather William van Cutsem and wife Rosie, with the media dubbing the young Norfolk set the Turnip Toffs.

Not that they’ll be doing much digging for turnips.

Baby Cambridge number two has had a busy first few days since she made her arrival on Saturday, gracing the steps of the Lindo Wing in her mother’s arms while sleeping soundly through her first photo call.
