The One Direction lads seem to be getting over the fact that that Zayn Malik has quit the band – well, they’re living with it – they’ve not burst into tears on live TV just yet, anyhow.
They went on the radio and Liam Payne told Dave Berry and Lisa Snowdon that Zayn had definitely quit the band for fiancée Perrie Edwards.
“Sometimes you have to move on because you’re not enjoying what you’re doing as much as you used to,” Liam said.
“He wanted to spend time with his family and his missus. That’s cool with us.”
We already knew this, but hearing it from the horse’s mouth is another thing (not that Liam is in any way like a horse).
Sounds like things have calmed down in camp 1D – at the weekend’s Billboard Music Awards the band accepted their gong in honour of Zayn.
Liam said: "There's one more person to share this with, and that's our brother Zayn."
Awww, guys. Well done for being so mature!
Here’s hoping Zayn does a Robbie Williams and rejoins the band at some point one day when they’re all dads with beer bellies.
