It’s been a pretty special weekend for the royal family with Prince William and Kate Middleton welcoming a baby daughter to the world yesterday.
And Prince Harry has now spoken about how excited he is to meet his brother’s second child.
Harry is currently away on an army secondment in Australia but it seems he’s already seen the pictures of the newborn.
Speaking about his niece, whose name is yet to be announced, he said: “She is absolutely beautiful. I can’t wait to meet her.”
Kate went into labour early yesterday morning and travelled to the Lindo Wing at London’s St Mary’s Hospital to deliver a sister for her son, Prince George.
Her second child was born at 8.34am and they took the tiny tot home to nearby Kensington Palace that afternoon.
William and Kate thanked people today for their well wishes following the birth.
A statement read: “The Duke and Duchess are hugely grateful for the messages of congratulations they have received from people all over the world.
“It means a great deal to them that so many people have celebrated the arrival of their new daughter.”
