Kate Middleton may have gone into labour this afternoon, as a convoy of cars – flanked by police officers on motorbikes – were spotted driving towards St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington.
They were seen heading northbound on Edgware Road from Marble Arch, and six police bikes were reportedly blocking traffic there.

Eagle-eyed spectators tweeted that more traffic cones were being set up outside the Lindo Wing – where the Duchess of Cambridge is due to give birth – and Paddy Power has suspended betting on the second royal baby being born today.
Earlier this morning, a two-car convoy was seen leaving Bucklebury, the village where Kate’s parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, live, with a police escort.
While the Duchess’ due date was never officially revealed, some sources reckon she was due a week ago today.
Let’s hope this is it!
