Dustin Diamond is facing up to 10 months in jail after being found guilty on two counts following a bar fight involving a stabbing.

The actor, who played Screech in Saved By The Bell, was found guilty of carrying a concealed weapon and disorderly conduct yesterday after he became involved in a bar brawl on Christmas Day last year.

The former Celebrity Big Brother contestant’s girlfriend Amanda Schutz, who is also facing a misdemeanour disorderly conduct charge, allegedly pushed a woman at the bar and grabbed another woman’s hand which started the fight, according to News.com.au.

Dustin tried to help Amanda and allegedly took out a pocketknife in a bid to stop more of the group from hurting his girlfriend.

Carrying a weapon could land Dustin up to nine months in prison and disorderly conduct carries up to another 90 days.

Ozaukee County District Lawyer Adam Gerol argued yesterday that Dustin lied about what happened during the incident, with Dustin claiming he may have struck someone with a pen but later said he had a knife at the bar which he did not use to injure anyone.

Dustin and Amanda are yet to be sentenced.
