Taylor Swift may be a multi-millionaire but that doesn’t mean she’s frivolous with her cash. When she needed outfits for her Bad Blood video she didn’t bothering buying all of them, she just borrowed them. And, where do you get loads of suggestive latex clothing? A sex shop… So, Taylor sent her people into The Stockroom in Los Angeles and borrowed around $13,000 of clobber. We just hope it was properly cleaned beforehand.
Their haul included the flesh coloured dress worn by Taylor (which cost $235) and the latex top worn by Selena Gomez ($360).
Shawn Gentry, the shops director of operations told The New York Post that the clothes were picked up in early April and that they were very secretive about who they were for. He also clarified the team didn’t take anything from the, erm, other range of items on offer in store.
They did however end up keeping around $5,000 of stuff. We’ll leave the reason why to your imagination..
Tay’s video for Bad Blood featured loads of her celebrity mates, including Karlie Kloss, Cindy Crawford, Ellen Pompeo, and Mariska Hargitay, and last night the Shake It Off singer found out she’d broken a Vevo world record with it.
The video, which was premiered at the Billboard Music Awards clocked up 20.1 million views in just 24 hours, knocking the current record holder Nicki Minaj and her track Anaconda off the top spot.
On hearing the news, Taylor went straight onto Twitter and wrote: “FREAKING OUT RIGHT NOW YOU BROKE THE VEVO WORLD RECORD THANK YOU”.
