Olympian? Check.

Gold medalist? Check.

World record breaker? Check.

There doesn’t seem to be anything that Rebecca Adlington can’t do – and now she can tick motherhood off of her list too.

Since giving birth to her adorable baby daughter, Summer, on June 8th, the Olympic swimmer, Rebecca Adlington says she has achieved her “greatest achievement” yet – motherhood.

But the 26-year-old has revealed the details surrounding her tough and challenging childbirth.

Rebecca was planning a water birth (obvs) but had to quickly change her plans after complications arose when baby Summer arrived four days later than expected.

Speaking to Hello Magazine, Rebecca said: “It was the most painful thing I have ever done but also the most rewarding

“Winning medals doesn't really make a difference to real life but bringing a new child into the world is without a doubt our greatest achievement.”

New born Summer is the first child of Rebecca and her husband Harry Needs, who she married in August last year.

And we hope that it all goes swimmingly…(sorry!)
