Remember Anneka Rice? She’s the '80s and ‘90s mega-babe who used to run around the United Kingdom in a boiler suit being challenged on, erm, Challenge Anneka.
Well, these days she’s not rushing about as much as she did in her heyday. She likes to take life at a slower pace – a much, much, MUCH slower pace judging by her recent tweets about saying goodbye to a dear old friend: a carpet.
Anneka tweeted a photo of her beloved stair carpet looking, quite frankly, like a dangerous mess, saying that she’s “ridiculously sad to be saying goodbye” to it.
But that wasn’t the end of her being totally bananas over a tatty old carpet.
As you can imagine, the internet found this all very amusing and jumped on the floor-covering bandwagon.
RIP carpet. Our thoughts go out to Anneka and her family, and of course the carpet’s loved ones, at this difficult time.
