Nothing says a departure from Albert Square quite like a sobbing Billy Mitchell outside Walford train station – and that’s exactly what happened during Tuesday night’s episode of *EastEnders, *when Lola Mitchell made an emotional exit.
After Jay Mitchell’s arrest, the teen mum packed up and left, heading to Newcastle – where gigantic hoop earrings are said to be cheaper.
Danielle Harold, who has played Lola Pearce on the soap for the last four years, tweeted: "Thank you all for your lovely messages and support over the last 4 years."
When the news was announced last month about Danielle’s departure, the actress said: "I've had the most amazing time at EastEnders having been involved in some exciting storylines, including giving birth in a live scene."
She added: "I'll miss everyone here and am looking forward to the future."
