Geri Halliwell shares sweet tribute to Cecil the lion!

Geri Halliwell is one of many celebrities to have expressed their anger at sorry after Cecil the lion was killed in Zimbabwe on July 1.

The former Spice Girls member, who recently got married to Formula One boss Christian Horner, shared a picture of herself planting a kiss on a lion cub, from her Ginger spice days.

Alongside the touching picture she wrote: "I love lions, met this cat many yrs ago. One of the most memorable moments of my life #cecil the lion."

Father-of-two Walter Palmer from Minnesota killed 13-year-old Cecil the lion with a bow and arrow and is said to now be in court over the killing.

Palmer was blasted for paying £35,000 to kill Cecil, who was reportedly in agony over night before he was found by hunters who shot him dead with a rifle.

Soon after it was revealed that it was Cecil, who was famous in the south African country, Victoria’s Secret model Candice Swanepoel, born in SA, said it is 'disgusting' that people are allowed to kill animals in their natural habitats.

Other celebs to express their disgust at Palmer include Cara Delevingne and Sharon Osborne.
