Someone made a cake. Someone compared that cake to a better cake. The internet exploded.
That's pretty much what's happened over the 24 hours and it's produced quotes like a "rollercoaster of emotion" and how making cake and taking risks is "what I think this life is all about".
It all began when a cake was commissioned for a little girl to look like Elsa from Frozen.
This is how the cake turned out.
Yeah, it's not the best. But, the thing is, it was made by Icing Smiles a nonprofit organization that provides custom celebration cakes and other treats for families impacted by the critical illness of a child.

But that didn't stop Reddit from picking up the picture, finding another, admittedly, much better Elsa cake, and slapping them side by side.
Then they laid into it:
"The sad thing is, as horrific as it looks, someone put serious time into making that cake. Every misshapen blob, every terrifying curve and flourish. There are hours and hours of terrible craftsmanship here."
Meanwhile some refered to it as "Elsa the Hutt"
Although, most of the chat was about the fact you can spend so, so much time working on something, and it still doesn't turn out great.
Then the internet got covered in pictures of these two cakes and no one has yet to tell us if either of them taste any good, which is what really matters, right?
The makers of the berated Elsa cake had this to say:

Then the individual maker of the much talked about cake, Lisa Randolph-Gant, came forward. Although, she admits the cake looks like "a hot mess", she had been tasked with making the cake after comforting her mother, as her grandmother had just passed away. She had a mere two hours to get the whole thing done and then got caught in the rain and had to wipe the cake down, before the picture was taken.
Bet you feel bad for laughing now, huh?
Still, the question remains. HOW DID IT TASTE?
