Fans of Pixie Lott can expect to hear new music from the star next year as she finishes off her new album. We caught up the star at V-Festival, in Chelmsford, where she was hanging out with her friends, family and her boyfriend Oliver Cheshire in the Louder Lounge.
And with the new series of Strictly Come Dancing just around the corner, she says: "I’m going to watch the next series of Strictly – I think Peter Andre is going to be amazing.”
Peter Andre is confirmed as a Strictly 2015 contestant, along with Anita Rani, Jay McGuiness, Jeremy Vine, Ainsley Harriott, Kellie Bright, Georgia May Foote, Katie Derham, Carol Kirkwood, Daniel O’Donnell and Anthony Ogogo. And Pixie has kept on dancing since starring on the show.
She tells us: “I’m doing some shows [Puttin’ on the Ritz] with Trent [Whiddon] so we get to do the Foxtrot, the Waltz, the Samba and the Charleston. We’ve done some shows all over London. We did some last weekend in Monaco and this weekend we’re in Southend. I love dancing. It’s god that I’ve been able to do these shows to make sure I can still do it.”
And in between watching Strictly, Pixie is finishing off her new album. She says: “It should be out next year sometime. I don’t have a title for it yet, when it’s finished then I can make a decision. I’ve got an idea but I’m not 100 per cent until I know what songs are going to go on it.”
Coming up with a good album title is just as tricky as naming a baby – there’s always someone who doesn’t like the choice. And asking friends for their opinion doesn’t always help matters. But Pixie has it covered. She adds: “I think if the name really called out to me and I really love it then I won’t have to ask people but if I’m unsure then I’ll definitely ask my friends and my label to see what they think.”
