We're starting to think Kanye West gives these lengthy speeches at award ceremonies and gigs just to get attention.
But at last night's MTV VMAs he actually got our attention because he admitted he's running for President in 2020.
Kim Kardashian's husband (OMG imagine her at the White House) rambled on after accepting the Video Vanguard Award, and said: "I have decided to run for President."
BUT wait, first Yeezy started his speech but dissing award shows, while at an award show, accepting an award.
He said: “I still don’t understand award shows.
“I don’t understand how they get five people who work their entire life to come, stand on a carpet, and for the first time in their life, stand up on a chopping block and be considered a loser. I don’t understand it, bro! I’ve been conflicted, bro! I just wanted people to like me more!” Aww, we like you Kanye.
“I will die for the art, for what I believe in,” he added. WOW, major bombshell.
“And the art ain’t always going to be polite! Ya’ll might be thinking, I wonder, ‘Did he smoke something before he came out?’ The answer is yes, I rolled up something. I knocked the edge off.”
And as the camera panned back to the show's host Miley Cyrus, she joked: "We all know what Kanye West can do when he smokes weed".
Well. Erm. We don't really know how to take this whole situation. Vote West?
