One Direction could come full circle this year – Simon Cowell wants the band to do their final performance before their break on the X Factor after finding fame on the show.
Niall Horan, Harry Styles, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson are disbanding when their tour comes to an end in October and they are set to take a break from life as a group.
And after launching themselves as a fivesome on the X Factor in 2010, Simon wants them to perform on the grand finale of the show as a goodbye.
Simon told The Sun: “I would like their last performance before their break to be the X Factor final, 100 per cent. I think they will come on the final of X Factor this year.”
Meanwhile, the music boss has some reassuring words for 1D fans as he’s sure the boys will reunite when they feel refreshed after some time off.
He said: “We haven’t had a conversation with anyone to say it’s the end. I’ve known for months that they wanted to take 2016 off. Why would you walk away from this forever?
“They are such a great stadium band now. They are more than just a boyband, they are a real band. The new album is incredible. I’d be amazed if anyone walks away from this for good.”

We imagine 1D will NEVER experience the panic of laundry day where every single item of underwear is either buried deep in the washing basket or slowly rotating round and round in the machine, tantalisingly close yet with a 90-minute cycle still to go before you can be reunited with them.
