Oh dear. It looks like the Voice UK gang are already struggling to be nice to each other. Well, two of them anyway.

New judges Boy George and Paloma Faith – who have joined Voice veterans Ricky Wilson and will.i.am for the upcoming series – have already had a run in, which ended with Paloma bursting into tears.

The pair were fighting to bag a contestant, but when Paloma pretended to fall asleep during Boy George’s long speech, he hit back by calling her “bitchy”.

Paloma tried to pass it off as banter but Boy George said: "You said you weren't going to be bitchy and you're being bitchy. You've probably got PMT or something, you were extremely rude. If you choose Paloma she will probably fall asleep while you sing."

He added, “Don’t give it if you can’t take it.”

A spokesperson for The Voice UK told Digital Spy: "All four coaches are fighting hard to get the best talent on their teams.

"Competition and banter may be lively on camera but professional rivalries are left at the studio doors at the end of every recording.

"We think viewers are going to love the genuine passion that our new line-up brings to The Voice in 2016."

But don’t panic – Boy George and Faith have since made up. BG even posted selfie of the duo together and described the row as "banter-mime".

Paloma replied: “Feeling is mutual baby!”

The Voice UK returns to BBC One in January 2016.
