Call The Midwife’s Jessica Raine has married her fiancé, Mr Selfridge’s Tom Goodman-Hill, in a sophisticated ceremony in London just two weeks after news of their engagement became public.

Tom, 47, tweeted that he “couldn’t be happier” and shared pictures of the couple looking dapper on their big day.

Jessica, 32, wears a white vintage dress so chic it has made us long for an immediate proposal from anyone, really, just so we can rush out and buy something similar to be worn at the earliest possible opportunity.

We also wouldn’t mind if Jessica wanted to donate that incredible headpiece to Heat Towers if she’s in the vicinity any time soon. Just saying.

The secret ceremony counts a number of famous faces among its attendees, such as David Walliams and Sherlock real life couple Amanda Abbington and Martin Freeman.

Tom and Jessica first met in 2010 when they co-starred in a play in which Tom played a husband struggling in a troubled marriage and Jessica took on the role of the young temptress luring him away from his wife. Perhaps in a case of life imitating art, Tom walked out on his ex-wife to start a relationship with Jessica months later.

Still, if the photos are anything to go by (wedding snaps are an extremely reliable gauge of internal felicity), the couple look as happy as can be now. Congrats, guys!
