Olly Murs ‘heartbroken after split from girlfriend of three years Francesca Thomas’

Olly Murs has reportedly been left heartbroken after splitting from long-term girlfriend Francesca Thomas.

The pair, who dated for three years, are said to have decided suddenly to go their separate ways last week after a holiday together.

Pop star Olly saw a long future with Francesca but with his X Factor presenting and music commitments, the romance is said to have suffered.

A source told The Sun on Sunday: “The split has just happened and it is very raw for Olly, he still feels numb.

“He always worried that his relationship would struggle because he’d put his career first. Now with X Factor and his singing on the go, that’s exactly what has happened.

“They worked so hard to keep their relationship strong, all their friends are stunned they couldn’t make it work.”

Olly, who finished runner-up on the X Factor in 2009, is said to have thrown himself into his current hosting duties on the show.

The singer has previously spoken of fears his life in the spotlight would get in the way of his relationship, saying: “If she wanted to walk away because she couldn’t handle the stress, then I would understand.

“I have to figure out how I can combine my work and relationship.”
