X Factor girl group 4th Power are forced to change their name – despite ALREADY starting promo work

Can we just have one year where the producers sort this out before the show starts?

Every year this happens. Every ruddy year. A band on* The X Factor* goes all the way through to the Boot Camp stage and then suddenly gets slapped with a legal letter warning them to change their name or face a copyright infringement case.

That's exactly what's happened to girl group 4th Power, the sisters from the Philippines, who have now been forced to change their name to 4th Impact to avoid upsetting the original 4th Power. Who presumably are pretty big elsewhere in the world.

A source told the Sun: "It came as a bit of a shock. The homework should have been done."

It's a bit awkward though, as the official X Factor Twitter account was still using the band's old name as recently as two days ago.

No-one's told whoever runs their own Twitter account either – it's still @4thPowerUK and has more than 6,500 followers and counting.

It's thought the girls are going to feature heavily in this weekend's shows, so let's hope they get this sorted quickly.

Cheryl's Adam Lippes tuxedo dress may cost over £1k, but that's nothing compared to a lifetime of dry cleaning bills. Just beware of Nando's, eh Chez?

B*Witched would be soooo jealous of these denim co-ords. Rita continues to show off her risky fash sense on the red carpet

Poor Rita must've accidentally got stuck in a door or been attacked by a pack of dogs on the way to the auditions. We can think of no other possible explanation for that missing sleeve

Caz doesn't half love a boyish short and shirt combo. She picked up these snakey platforms for just £52 from Toppers!
